Sandra Gail Wilson was born on May 26, 1947 in Shelton, Washington and passed away on April 14, 2026 in Gresham, Oregon. Sandra (Sandi) is survived by her husband Gary Wilson of Gresham, Oregon, her son Brian, daughter-in-law Rhonda Wilson and granddaughter Claire of Gresham. In addition, she is survived by her two brothers Randy Lewis and Mark (Vickie) Lewis as well as her niece Jennifer Lewis of Shelton. Sandi also leaves behind her aunt Shirley and many cousins who loved and adored her. Sandi excelled at bringing people together and making them feel loved and accepted. Her love and joy for life was contagious. She leaves a legacy of kindness and caring for others that makes us all want to be a better person.
Sandi graduated from Shelton High School in 1965 and then attended Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, Oregon. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang in a trio choir that traveled the Pacific Northwest in her young adult years and then she worked for the Washington Department of Transportation in Olympia, Washington until 1979.
Sandi was a very kind person that was loved by everyone that knew her and was always there to help everyone and anyone in need. She had a great passion for reading and organizing and loved decorating her home, especially for the holidays. Her bundle of energy and sense of humor were traits that drew people to her. This world has been enriched by having Sandi in it and her absence will leave a void to all that knew and loved her.
Sandi attained a Masters Degree in Education from Western Oregon University and then taught in the Vernonia and Scappoose School Districts before completing her career in the Oregon Trail School District as a Special Education Coordinator.
At Sandi’s request, there will be no funeral services held for her. However, donations may be made in her memory to the Wounded Warriors Project, Habitat for Humanity or to your favorite dog/pet foundation.
