In Loving Memory Of

Peggy Ann Winkle

May 15th, 1949 - August 30th, 2025

Obituary

Peggy Ann Winkle (76) passed away on August 30, 2025, in her home in Milwaukie, OR. She was born on May 15, 1949, in Kellogg, ID. Her parents, Lawrence and Beula (Snyder) Richardson, preceded her in death.  She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Winkle; her siblings, Gloria Vanderzanden (Richardson) and Larry Richardson; her children, Lynn Winkle and Stephen Winkle, and their spouses, Mark Stauffer and Victoria, respectively; her nephews and nieces; her granddaughters and grandnieces; and her cat Bluebelle.

After her family moved from Idaho, Peggy graduated from Sunset High School in 1970 and then attended Portland State University.  She married Mike in 1973 and raised their children in SE Portland.  In 1980, Peggy started an entertainment booking agency to represent Mike’s band.  This proved to be her niche as she eventually represented over 600 entertainment options for special events throughout the PNW.  She was well respected by both clients and entertainers for her professionalism and care.

A celebration of life will be held at Southlake Church, 1555 SW Borland Road, West Linn, Oregon 97068, on September 28th, 2025, at 3:00 pm.

Donations

In lieu of flowers, if you're compelled to give on Peggy’s behalf, please consider a memorial donation to one of her favorite charities in support of children at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, protecting animals at the Oregon Humane Society, or supporting families affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

I am so sorry to hear of Peggy's difficult path toward the end, and of her death. I first met her because our kids were taking swim lessons together, and we had both a neighborhood and a music-interest bond. She was such a lovely, hardworking, committed person, and I really admired how she started a very successful business on her own. Many warm thoughts. Sylvia Gray

Peggy and Mike were responsible for me learning the business”Band Business” they’re on enough words in the English language for me to express the enormous gratitude I have for everything that Peggy taught me. She was so incredibly supportive of my talent and my heart! The fun memories are too numerous to count. Lots of time spent at the house in Southeast. We would always sit and visit while listening to Mike sing at one of his gigs. She will be enormously missed! All of my love to Mike, Lynn and Steven., and everyone affected by this loss! 🙏❤️❣️ Leisa Hart

A tree was planted in memories of Peggy Ann Winkle
Peggy was y agent for gigs in the 90s. She was a great person. She was respectable, kind, intelligent, personable. This is sad news. May she rest in peace out her busy in the next world. She will be missed because she touched so many lives in a positive way. Daniel Crothers
Gene Houck and I first met and started a booking relationship with Peggy and Michael’s Celebration Music in 1991 or 1992. Peggy was kind and professional - she booked us good gigs for decent money. Gene and I lovingly referred to her as our Aunt Peggy.

Bon voyage, sweet Peggy. We expect to see you around.

Our condolences and sympathies to Mike, their family and friends.
Jean-Pierre Garau
