We are here to guide you through the options and help you make an informed decision
Burial Options
- Ground Burial: An in-ground burial involves placing the deceased in a grave within a cemetery. You can choose from estate lots, multiple-space lots, or single-space graves. Each plot is typically marked with a headstone or grave marker.
- Mausoleum Entombment: A mausoleum is an above-ground structure that houses the deceased in a sealed space or crypt. Available in private family or community mausoleums, they can be an attractive option for families seeking protection from the elements while offering a dignified environment for visitations.
Disposition Rights
ORS 97.130 outlines who has the right to control the disposition of remains. If you do not have the right to control the disposition for someone and they would like you to be the person who makes the decisions of what happens to them after they pass, the State provides paperwork that is easy to fill out giving whomever they choose the rights. This paperwork must be filled out before death. If you are the Next of Kin in accordance to ORS 97.130 you do not need to fill out disposition paperwork before someone passes.
Cremation Options
Cremation is a respectable alternative to traditional burial and families can choose to have the cremated remains of their loved ones.
- Scattered in a meaningful location
- Interred in an in-ground cemetery plot
- Placed in a niche in a mausoleum
- Kept in a personal urn at home
Our team is here to guide you through the various options available for memorializing your loved one after cremation.
