Richard Andross, a father, husband, thrill-seeker, and always willing to help, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 25, 2026, at the age of 82.
Dick, as known by his friends and family, lived life in the fast lane and found pure joy in anything with a powerful engine. He spent his happiest weekends cruising in his cherished Corvettes, feeling the wind on his motorcycle, or flying up in the sky in his airplane. His passion for aviation and motorsports was infectious, and he loved sharing that excitement with his daughter, teaching her that life was meant to be fully embraced and enjoyed.
Dick could be found relaxing at home with his favorite four-legged companions in his later years. He possessed an extraordinary love for dogs, always ensuring his loyal pets were spoiled and by his side. Dick will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his quick wit, and the quiet dignity of his final departure. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a reminder to always enjoy the ride.
He is survived by his daughter, who will forever miss his daily text and reminders that we only live once, as well as a community of friends and local aviators. As in his life, he wanted to slowly fade away, and no services will be held. He will be put to rest at the Willamette National Cemetery.
