Ann Hogan died July 23, 2011 in Gresham, OR after a long battle with a terminal illness. She was 74.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Sandy Funeral Home.
She was born Sharleen Ann McSweeney on January 20, 1937 in Lansing, Michigan to Paris Elmer McSweeney and Bernadine English. When she was 3 years old she and her father moved to Boring where Ann was raised and received her schooling. She graduated from Gresham High School in 1955.
A few months later in September she was married to James Robert Hogan Jr. in Vancouver, WA. They made their home in south east Portland where they raised their family. In 1983 the family moved to Sandy and then in 1998 when James retired, he and Ann moved to Las Vegas. Ann moved back to Sandy in 2009 to be closer to her family.
Ann was an active member of the Iota Delta sorority. She enjoyed horses, reading, gardening, and shopping, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband James of Portland; sons, James R. Hogan III of Sandy, Mark D. Hogan of Bozeman, MT, and Casey C. Hogan of Portland; daughter Tamara M. Lucky of Portland; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
