Bennie E. Lundervold, 77, died Sunday July 19th in Sandy, Oregon.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, August 9th at 3p.m. at Good Shepherd Community Church in the North Auditorium, with a reception to follow.
Bennie was born in Roosevelt, Wisconsin. His family moved to Gresham Oregon in 1943, where he and his younger siblings, Jim, Larry, Dan and sister Pat were raised. Bennie served on the aircraft carrier Bon Homme Richard in Southeast Asia during the Korean War. He married Hilda Kelso in 1964 and they shared 51 wonderful years together. Bennie retired from Ventura Foods November of 2000 as a Millwright/Mechanic. He was an avid wood worker who loved building furniture and gardening. Bennie will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Hilda, daughters Lisa Laws and Kristy Willoughby, son David Lundervold, daughter-in-law Christine Lundervold and sons-in-law Darren Laws and Paul Willoughby, grandchildren Jarad Skeels, Jacob Skeels, Megan Laws, Erik Lundervold, Landon Lundervold, and great granddaughter Logan Skeels. He was preceded in death by his grandson Nathan Lundervold.
