Betty Joann Stotts was born in Eagle Creek, Oregon on November 10, 1951 to Delbert and Lula (Scates) Littrell. She was raised by her step-father Arthur Allgeier and mother Lula.
Betty passed away in her home on Sunday morning October 11, 2020 in Boring, Oregon after a long and heavy battle with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). She was a loving and strong character who was selfless in nature, and she will be remembered dearly by those who became a part of her life. She was a loving motherly figure to not only her own children, but to her grandchildren and those not necessarily of her own family. If anybody needed anything, she was right there standing by to make sure that everyone was fed, taken care of, and supported. She is survived by her endearing husband Stanley Dean Stotts of Boring. Her children Matthew Stotts (Laura), Kristie Littrell, and Kymberly Stotts-Kelly (Ambrose). Her grandchildren Jordan Stotts, Chelsie Mensing (Collins), Hailee Stotts, Hunter Stotts, and Nicholas Pederson. Her great-grandchildren Walker Mensing, and honorary great-grandchild Nolan Edwards. Betty is also survived by her brothers Harvey Littrell (Linda), Larry Littrell (Shirlene), Mark Allgeier (Deceased), and Tad Allgeier. Betty will be greatly missed by her many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins! She grew up in Eagle Creek, Oregon, and Fayetteville, Arkansas, married and lived in Boring. She worked and retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Portland, Oregon. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, and she was an adventurous soul-- loving to go camping, fishing, and playing cards with a group of friends. If able to, she would have traveled the world to experience its beauty. Betty enjoyed family gatherings, always making sure there was enough to eat and incorporating her own baking. Generous as was her heart and soul, her legacy carries on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.
