They moved to Oregon in 1973 where they raised their 4 children eventually settling in Corbett as their permanent home. Billy provided for his family by working as a long haul truck driver. He began at the age of 17 and finally retired from the driver’s seat in 2002.
Billy and his family made many fond memories spending time in the woods where Billy loved to hunt. His passions also included spending time with friends and family, taking care of his animals, his garden, and keeping his fences mended and straight.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years Elsie; sons, Ronnie of Sandy, Billy of St. Helen; daughters, Karen Kitchens and Sheena Barnes both of Sandy; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 8 brothers and sisters, several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
He was loved and will be missed by many whose lives he touched with his exceptional love and generosity.
