Former Sandy resident, Brent Mattox died at his home in Ridgefield, Washington on Monday, July 29, 2013. He was 76.
A Funeral Service was held at Sandy Funeral Home. Burial followed at Cliffside Cemetery.
Brent Alan Mattox Sr. was born on January 19, 1937 in Sandy where he was raised and received his schooling.
After graduating from Sandy High School, Brent owned and operated a sawmill in Sandy prior to starting his career as a service station owner and operator in Portland. Brent retired in 1999 and in 2001, he moved to Ridgefield , Washington where he met his fiancé’ Gail Golden and made his permanent home.
Surviving is his fiancé’ Gail; his children, Kathy, Brent, Suzi, Mindy; his step children, Joanne, Cheri, David, Peggy and Tony; his brother Bob; his sisters, Norma and Leila and 2 grandchildren.
Brent was an avid golfer and spent many hours doing cross word puzzles and computer games.
