In Loving Memory Of

Bruce Alan Callison

November 6th, 1976 - December 4th, 2024

Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bruce (Broos) Callison, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Bruce left us on December 4, 2024.

After graduating from Sam Barlow High School Bruce became a long-haul truck driver. This is where he fostered his love of travel. But, when the call of his passion for cooking got to be too loud to ignore, he parked his truck and went to the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Portland. After graduating he worked in several restaurants in the area and eventually ended up working as a Traveling Executive Chef. Here he combined his love of travel with his love of cooking delicious food for others.

When he was home, he enjoyed time with his wife Sharon and their cat Louie. No matter where he was – home or away working he always made time to fish – a lifelong passion that he learned from his late father, Keith. Bruce also loved music and loved to dance.

He is survived by his wife Sharon, his mother Lynn, his sisters Cheryl and Heather, niece Avalon, and too many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends to mention.

A service will be held for Bruce on January 11, 2025, at 1:00pm at the Gresham Elks Lodge in Gresham, Oregon.

My buddy Broos, I really wish we could’ve gone to Kevin Heart and laughed together. He is one of my favs and you.. are one of my favs. I will always see you shaking that leg on the dance floor with the best smile ever. Your love with Sharon will always inspire me. We will always hold you in our souls and in our hearts and we will dance together in the forever weird. Thank you for all the joy. Love you Caree Shu
Hey Broos! One of my first memories of you was sipping at a brewery near Hawthorne Street. I said to my self...'this is a sweet man'. Later, visiting you and Sharon at your nest near the river a few times. Always warm feelings. I remember you cooking fish for us at least once. Thanks for the dancing and the parties! And all the photos in the last few years holding a fish you caught with that Broos smile... which made me smile and feel good. Thanks for the fun! Tenaya Tenaya
We will miss you nephew and all the clever conversation we would have. You always made the most creative and interesting food dishes(who knew you could eat certain Day lillie's?) Now you can fish all the time and even with your dad. Gone, but never forgotten. RIP nephew. Much love always ❤️ Ina and Randy

Broos, i know we wernt super close, but you were always, always kind to me. When i saw you after i left the old me behind you were so happy for me, so supportive, and just a bright light wherever you went. The world is a little darker without you, and I hope your essence continues to make the world just a little kinder. ❤️ Safe travels friend 🫂❤️ Julie Winters
