Carl W. Bell, at the age of 94 passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at his home surround by his family. Carl was born September 11, 1925 in Sandy and graduated from Sandy High School.
Carl served during WWII in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 on the USS Pickens. He manned a landing craft which transported Marines from the USS Pickens to the beaches of Okinawa and Iwo Jima. After an honorable discharged, Carl started his career path with Portland General Electric. He retired from PGE on October 1, 1986 as the Bull Run Project Manager.
Carl married the love his life, Vivian Still on October 11, 1947. They celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on Friday, October 11, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Bell, sister Patricia Morgan and his children Cheryl Bell, Richard Bell and wife Gaye, Becky Weisen and husband Dennis, Kimberly Graham and husband Jesse and was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, which were his pride and joy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to any Hospice Organization.
