Charles was born on October 23, 1929 in Glover,
Missouri to Leslie and Elsie Jordan. Charles moved
to Sandy from Rockaway Beach in 1970 and has
since lived in the surrounding area. He enlisted
in the Army in September of 1948, and was a life
member of the Sandy V.F.W. where he was known
as “The Ice Man” for filling the ice machines when
he would go in. He moved to assisted living in
February of 2014 and lived there until his death.
In his life, Charles was indeed his own person and
liked by all. He is preceded in death by his parents,
Father – Leslie, Sr., Mother – Elsie and brothers,
Leslie (Les) Jr., Gordon (Woodie) and Dick. He is
survived by his Brother Ronnie Jordan of Prineville.
A private graveside service will be held at
Cliffside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to the Sandy V.F.W., Post 4273 in his
memory.
