Chester Julius Blosick Jr. “Papa Chett” passed away on December 8, 2010 only a few days away from celebrating his 64th birthday.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Chett was born December 17, 1946 in Portland to Chester Sr. and Genevieve Adelina (Frisen) Blosick. He was raised in Portland where he graduated from David Douglas High School. In 1965 he married Sally A. Daniels. They started their family, eventually having two daughters and moving to Boring where he and Sally spent the last 35 years.
Chett spent 40 years in the construction industry and he spent almost as many years at his weekend job- landscaping! After retiring he loved spending time outdoors with his grandchildren in the back yard and at the pumpkin patch. His two favorite places were the Oregon Coast and the Sandy River. When he wasn’t at the beach you could often find him gardening, listening to the Beatles, watching John Wayne movies, or stacking cords of firewood. He was an active guy- a big guy with a big heart. Oh how he loved his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Sally; daughters, Sandra M. Carrier and Shauna M. (Steve R.) Nokleby; grandchildren, Katilyn and Madilyn Carrier, and Calvin and Jack Nokleby.
