Sandy resident, Christina Boppre died at her home on August 1, 2016. She was 89. A memorial service will be held at Sandy Funeral Home on Saturday August 6, 2016 at 1:00pm.
Christina Violet Cain was born in Kalvin, North Dakota on May 16, 1927 to Samuel and Jean Cain. She was raised in North Dakota where she went to school until moving to Sandy, Oregon while in high school, graduating from Sandy Union High in 1946. After school, she worked as a waitress at Eagles Nest in Gresham and at the store her brother-in-law, Archie owned. Christina was a talented florist, and owned her own floral shop in Seaside where she would often have her children make deliveries, especially in the busy times of the year.
In 1948 she married Roy George Boppre in Gresham. Together they had 3 children, LeRoy, Diane and John.
Christina was a lover of music, antiques, floral art, baking, knitting and was a the “Coupon Lady” for many years in the Sandy and Gresham area.
Survivors include; children, LeRoy Boppre of Boring, Diane Boppre of Sandy, John Boppre of Seaside; grandchildren, Travis and Chelsea Boppre of Eagle Creek, Jeff Teel of Florida, Shaun of Portland, Shane of Portland and Chrissy Lee of Portland; great grandchildren, Chiana and Ryder Boppre; sister Sherry Lawson of Sandy; and many many nieces and nephews.
