Lifetime Sandy resident, Claudine “Snookie” Pullen died at her home on Monday, May 10, 2010. She was 77.
Visitation will be held at Sandy Funeral Home on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A private burial will follow at Firhill Memorial Cemetery in Sandy.
She was born, Claudine Delores Gray to Ted and Genevieve (Jonsrud) Gray on June 23, 1932 in Sandy where she was raised and received her elementary and high school education.
On October 23, 1948, she was united in marriage to Byron “Bud” Pullen in Stevenson, Washington. They made their home in Sandy where they raised their family. Besides fulfilling her duties as a wife and mother, she worked at Trail Café, Big Apple and later at Janz Berryland where she retired.
Snookie was devoted to her family and a charter member of the Sandy V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are children, Diane Beckoff of Eagle Creek, Michael Pullen, Cheryl Leriche and Susan Cook all of Sandy; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren with two on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband Bud in 2007 and her grandson Jason in 1999.
