Clinton John Bottenberg, 58, of Sandy, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly August 5, 2022, at his home.
Clint was born on May 2, 1964, in Macomb, Illinois, the son of George E. and Ann Marshall Bottenberg. He attended Brimfield schools and graduated from Brimfield High School in 1982.
He worked in the nursery industry in Oregon for 36 years. He also spent 4+ years in China, building, managing three nurseries, growing shade trees and shrubs.
Clint also loved nature and being out in it hiking or bicycling. He was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of music.
Clint is survived by his wife Deborah of Sandy, Oregon, daughter Alishia (Tyler) Guest and grandchildren Emma Alison, Tessa Marie, Dean Thomas Clinton, and Fionna Powell Guest of Mulino, Oregon; his mother and father George and Ann Bottenberg of Charles City, Iowa,; siblings Charles (Ellyn) Bottenberg of Princeville, Illinois, Deborah (Joe) Laverdiere of Peoria, Illinois, Mary Jones (Ron) of Waterloo, Iowa, and his beloved uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Clint was preceded in death by his grandparents: Edwin and Doris Bottenberg of Ipava, Illinois, and Max and Viola Marshall of Table Grove, Illinois.
He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
