Connie was born in the city of Minneapolis, MN on a Saturday in the late summer of 1938 to Palmer and Grace Olson. She was the second of five siblings (Barbara, Connie, Douglas, Joy, and Rachael). She moved with her family to Oregon where she attended Tigard High School.
After graduation she got a job working for the telephone company and moved into an apartment with her two best friends. She met her future husband Leo in 1962. They were married a year later. Connie was a Loving wife to her husband Leo until his passing 57 years later. She was a devoted mother to her four children (Leo, Jerry, Lori, and Roger), and a doting grandmother to her grandsons.
Connie was a devout Christian, volunteering with various charities, and always willing to help those in need. She devoted her time to her family, her plants, and her many other creative outlets such as Ceramics, Macramé, and Crochet. She loved to sing, and play the Organ. She was an excellent cook, and an avid baker. With the approach of Christmas, Connie would transform into a confectioner and churn out an enormous variety of sweets and cookies. She would add something new each year to the delight of her family and friends (her chocolate crinkle cookies were a family favorite)
