Boring resident Cornelius Pestes, 88, passed away peacefully Thursday
April 9, 2015 at Portland Adventist Medical Center.
A memorial will be held at a later date. Private burial was held on Sunday April 12, at Cliffside Cemetery in Sandy.
Cornelius Nathaniel Pestes was born in Spring Valley, Sakatchewan November 25, 1926 to Likeria (Galon) and Nicolai Pestes. He was raised in Spring Valley where he received his schooling. Cornelius continued his education in Los Angeles where he studied X-Ray Technology at White Memorial Hospital.
Cornelius married Ruth Stickle in 1950 and they began their family. They moved to Boring in 1960 and in 1964 Cornelius became the founder of MML Diagnostics in Troutdale.
His hobbies included videography, farming, old cars and tractors. He was a member of the Hoodview Seventh-day Adventist Church in Boring.
Survivors include his wife Ruth; sons, Dale of Gresham, Larry of Boring, Ronald of Boring; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
