In Loving Memory Of

Cynthia Lynn McKenna

May 24th, 1961 - January 29th, 2022

Obituary

Cyndi, daughter, sister, aunt, friend. She was born in Portland, Oregon to Dave and Marge McCool, joining big sisters Vicki and Lindy. The family moved to a farm in Sandy when she was little and it was there that she discovered her love of horses and became “Daddy’s boy and Mommy’s girl”. She attended Cottrell Grade School and Sandy High. She graduated from Mt. Hood Community College with a Bachelor of Arts and started working at Davis Printing. Later she became owner of Prestige Printing, where she grew a small printing business into two businesses, one in Sandy and one in Gresham.  She was married to Craig Timm for almost 2 years until his passing. She and Dan’s friendship grew through mutual grief during this time and eventually led to a romance and marriage in 1989.

She is survived by her parents, David and Marge McCool, sisters Lindy Sandy,  Vicki and her husband John Dixon.  Nephews and nieces John and Rachel Dixon, Dennis and Abigail Dixon, Jessi and Ariel Veras, David and Beth Sandy and Matthew and Karely Sandy and 14 grand nephews and nieces.

Dan and Cyndi shared many of the same passions in life such as cars, photography, travel and flying.  They both worked extremely hard to accomplish their goal of traveling the world and making friends wherever they went.  Their travels took them to unique destinations and often included skiing, scuba and diving and photo documentation of their experiences.  They lived life to its fullest.  They participated in volunteer work through their church and were also dedicated to the Angel Wings organization and serving those that need them most.  Their highest priority was their families.

They will be remembered for their joy in life, their generosity, their ability to entertain guests at a moments notice and always being able to make a celebration happen. They will be dearly missed by all who knew them.

It is fast approaching the anniversary death of Cyndi and hubby Dan. It is still so unreal. I miss so much being able to just give her a quick call and be able to tell her some news that I knew she would love to hear. So instead I write it down in my journal to her. Miss her and Dan every day . Until we meet again. Love to you both and Craig. Pat
i met cyndi through the mt hood chamber of commerce and when i worked at mtn quail business services in welches, we used her business a lot! cyndi was so cool and we laughed and talked about stuff…she was full of life and told me about where they were flying and in particular to a jimmy buffett concert! i thought that was so amazing! so did she!!! ohhh cyndi, i will miss you and i will never forget you! ❤️✌️ mindy peterson
Such a nice service that really shared very well I think what Cyndi and Dan were about. I had business dealings with Cyndi, and she went out of her way to help and support me. We shared some of the same interest and she was always so fun to talk with and so full of life. I'm so grateful they had Christ in their life! Randy Coryell
No words can express how deeply sadden we were when we heard this news. Cyndi was our neighbor and friend and always there to offer any help she could. It could be a huge effort of clearing our driveway after windy storms or giving comfort with a loss we occurred. She was such a thoughtful person and we will miss her greatly, and so grateful to have known her. Chris and Glynis Horvath

Beautiful woman inside and out. Gracious in an understatement to describe Cyndi. Only got to share a small portion of Cyndis life but in that short time she became a prominent memory with a beautiful life. Looking forward to meeting you again in Heaven my friend. Rest in Peace. Carole Sparks
Our hearts go out to your family.
I will miss Cyndi’s beautiful smile and welcoming personality.

Cyndi was a joy to know! An award winning smile and a heart to match! What a gracious, marvelous woman who I had the pleasure of spending a small part of life with. Gone too soon and never forgotten. Carole Sparks
