Lifetime Boring resident, Danny Paola died on August 21, 2016. A celebration of life will be held at Paola’s Pizza Barn on Saturday, August 27th at 2:00pm.
Daniel Jeffrey Paola was born in Portland, Oregon on April 2, 1966 to Leonard and Joyce Paola. He grew up in the Boring area where he went by the nickname “Bam Bam”. He attended Boring Middle School, Sandy High School, and graduated from Barlow High School class of 1984 where he was a successful athlete in baseball, basketball and football.
Throughout his youth and periodically as an adult, Danny helped operate his family’s restaurant, Paola’s Pizza Barn where he was very proud to be a part of the building the fireplace. He was the business owner of D&M Moving which he operated for many years in the Portland area. He had three children, Lindsay, Ashlyn and Alec and together they lived in the Boring and Gresham area. Danny loved spending his time with family, talking about sports, specifically the Chicago Bears, and trivia. He also loved to play golf and was an undefeated coach for his child’s soccer team.
His memory will be cherished by his surviving family which include his children; Lindsay (Brandon) Piekkola of Eagle Creek, Ashlyn Paola of South Dakota and Alec Paola of Eagle Creek; mother, Joyce Paola of Boring; siblings, Jack Paola, Melanie Paola and Mitchell Paola; and 7 nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
