In Loving Memory Of

Daniel Joseph McKenna

September 21st, 1956 - January 29th, 2022

Obituary

Dan was born in Portland, Oregon to father Joseph Vincent and mother Marian Joyce.

He attended Ascension Grade School, David Douglas and Reynolds High Schools. As one of 7 kids, Dan was always the adventurer. He started his interest in flying with the purchase of a hang glider.

He later followed in his Dad’s footsteps, spending most of his successful career in the paper industry. Through business, he met his future wife Cyndi. They were married March 3rd, 1989 in Jackson Hole, WY.

Dan and Cyndi shared many of the same passions in life such as cars, photography, travel, and flying. They both worked extremely hard to accomplish their goal of traveling the world and making friends wherever they went. Their travels took them to unique destinations and often included skiing, scuba diving, and photo documentation of their experiences. They lived life to its fullest.

They participated in volunteer work through their church and were also dedicated to the Angel Wings organization and serving those that needed them most.

Dan is survived by sisters Hilma, Diane, Ann and husband Joe, brothers Bob and wife Cheryl, Jim and wife Kim and many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to Dougy Center at Dougy.org or Angel Flight at www.angelflightwest.org

Everyone at the Flight Deck and families of the employees send their condolences. May they both Rest in Peace. Patricia Fleischhans
Sending my condolences to both families for this tragedy. I knew Dan from our time in grade school together. Although Dan and I didn't cross paths since then, it sounds like he never strayed from his formative years...outgoing, kind, adventurous, helpful, and always fun to be around. Rest in peace Dan and Cyndi. Steve Cogan
It is so sad to hear that Dan and Cyndi have passed. The McKenna family and the Hudson family go back to before I was born. Dan’s Dad Joe and my dad worked together at Fraser Paper Company. His dad was my Godfather and one of the reasons I was named Joe. I worked with Dan for many years in the paper industry (Fraser Paper and beyond) in the warehouse and in sales. I knew Cyndi through Dan and her print shop. They are already missed. Please know that they are in our thoughts and in our prayers, as is the whole extended family. All our love, Joe and Karen Hudson. Joe Hudson
I am devestated beyond words! So sorry I can’t be with you today! We loved them like family and I am sorry for the rest of the family. Linda L Tripp
No words can express how deeply sadden we were when we heard this news. Dan was our neighbor and friend and always there to offer any help he could. It could be a huge effort of clearing our driveway after windy storms or giving comfort with a loss we occurred. He was such a thoughtful person and we will miss him greatly, and so grateful to have known him. Chris and Glynis Horvath
Bob, Cheryl and the McKenna clan! Alex and I are so sad to hear of your loss. Our thoughts are with all of you.
Sincerely,
Steve & Alex
