Obituary

In loving memory, we honor the life of David Charles Hughes – born November 23, 1955 to Roy & Theresa Hughes of Milwaukie. David lost his battle with cancer on March 10, 2022.

He is survived by his wife Minda English-Hughes and sister Mary Wolf along with her children and cousins Ralph Jones Jr and Janice Morelli.

David's love during his childhood was Bass Fishing with his dad. He requested that the photo of him with the Record Bass he caught when he was 16 be his obituary photo.

David worked at Rasmussen BMW as Asst Parts Manager, from high school for over 15 years. Then trained in paintless dent repair to become Owner/Operator of 1st Superior Paintless Dent Removal in the Portland area for over 20 years. A private memorial will be held at a later date.

My condolences to Dave's wife and family. I met Dave in 2007. We became instant friends. We shared the cost of both vendor stalls at spring Portland since. We met up at puyallup, monroe, hot August nights reno annually to catch up. Dave and I went for dinner in 2019 and talked corvettes, the last time I saw him. I'll miss you Dave. RIP. Doug Dearing
David was definitely taken too soon. I miss him so much. He was more like a brother than a cousin. Janice Morelli
Dave worked on my cars for 20 years. He was unbelievably talented when it came to removing dents. But more importantly, he was one of the nicest individuals I've ever met. I always looked forward to having him come over so we could talk. He shared his cancer condition with me and I prayed for him often and kept in touch with him. He is missed so much. I know he is in a better place-and is driving the Corvette of his dreams. Mark Swantek
David was one of my favorite customers at the post office. I prayed for him often and worried when I didn't see him for awhile. But then he would pop in and I would be so happy to see him.
He was a fighter. Blessed are we that knew him.
Helen Kilty
My condolences William Fessier
Not goodby David, will see you again in HIS Kingdom. So glad you didn't suffer any longer. The Bible says Jesus takes the "sting" of death away. As Christians we have peace. Loved our time together fellowshipping the last few weeks. Minda, keep the faith and we will all rejoice together one day. My love, Jim James cooper
Rest in Peace my Friend !! Al Perry
