Longtime Sandy resident Dennis L. Clark passed away from family and friends on April 3, 2011. He was 56 years young.
A celebration of a wonderful life will be held on Saturday, April 16, at 10:00 a.m. at Sandy Funeral Home followed by internment at Douglass Cemetery in Troutdale.
Dennis was born in Merced, California where he attended grade school and his freshman year of high school before moving to Lodi, California. He graduated from Lodi High School and joined his brother's construction company. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Kandy Kaster, they moved to Boring in 1977 and then to Sandy in 1988. Dennis worked for many years in Estacada for Crown Zellerbach then RSG Forest Products. He retired with a disability in 2003.
Fondest memories for Dennis were being out in the woods with family and friends, camping, hunting, and dirt bike riding. He also took special pride in his grandchildren, wood working, gardening, and his classic Ford pickup.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years; his daughters, Kelly Dreger of Gresham and Jenny Clark of Milwaukie; grandchildren; Logan Dreger and Ariella Dreger; son-in-law, George Dreger all of Gresham; future son-in-law; Jerry Myres of Milwaukie; brothers; Calvin Clark of Acampo, California, David Clark of Reno, Neveda, and Chris Clark of Palm Springs, California; sister Janice Clark of Leavenworth, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
