Boring resident, Donald Lee White, died on April 11, 2017. He was 72.
Donnie Lee White was born to Myrtle (Addington) White and Shelby White in Rockford, Illinois. The family relocated to southern California where Don spent his early years.
Moving to the Beaver state, Don became an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed living in Oregon for most of his life. He was fiercely proud of his native roots and ancestral heritage. Though widely respected and often loved, Don was a complicated man with quiet ambitions and few close friends.
Don has trained some of the world’s strongest men as well as national champions. He has held world ranking (#5) as a 242lb power lifer, wrestled professionally and had a huge impact on the lives he touched. Bigger than life, Don was an icon whose life and deeds achieved legendary status.
Don and his wife Mayzie lived the last decade in Tygh Valley, Oregon. Don loved to walk the hills and walked many miles with his beloved dog, Mr. whom he lost in February of this year.
Don was preceded in death by his wife Mayzie, his mother, and his dog Mr.
Don is survived by his two sons, Donnie and Ronnie and both of their families; Pam, Don’s first wife and mother of his sons who all live in California; daughter Sonya and family in Nebraska; grandson Justin in Oregon; sister Monnie and her family in Huston, Texas; brother Randy and his family in Oregon City, Oregon; sister Sue and her family, along with many extended family members and friends.
Don wanted to have a picnic and his ashes blown in the wind, which will happen in the late summer.
