Donna Jean Sichley of Boring passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on July 2, 2022, at the age of 70.
She was born March 4, 1952, to her parents Frederick “Fritz” and Vaneta Koberstein in Corvallis, Oregon. She was the youngest of her 5 siblings.
She attended Phoenix High School in Phoenix, Oregon, where she was given the nickname “Koby.” After graduating in 1970, she moved around but made Portland her home. On November 4, 1978, she married Scott Sichley Sr. Not only gaining the love of her life that day but a son, Scott Jr. Donna and Scott continued to expand their family with 2 daughters and 1 son.
She dedicated her life to her kids, being a stay-at-home mom for a big portion of her life. Donna also worked as a head cashier at Walgreens for several years, where she met many people and made many good friends.
She was a special person who cared deeply for those that came into her life, but most importantly for her disabled son who she cared for up until the time of her passing.
She enjoyed camping with family, fishing, planting flowers, attending concerts, receiving York Peppermint patties, Hallmark movies, anything with the grand-kids, and of course her favorite place, the beach! Her favorite hobby was collecting Snoopy in which she had an extensive collection.
She is survived by her Husband Scott Sichley; 4 children, Scott Jr (Kristin) Sichley, Tracey (Joe) Villarreal, Tammie (Kenny) Rieder and Nicholas Sichley. Her Sister Nancy (Richard) Kaiser. Grandchildren, Zach Sichley, Ryan and Brynlee Villarreal, and Kodee and Kasey Rieder. She is preceded in death by her parents Frederick W. Koberstein and Vaneta W. Francis; Stepdad Lavern “Vern” Francis; Siblings Dennis “Bean” Koberstein, Bill Koberstein, Janice Kelly, and Alice Koberstein.
