Longtime Sandy resident, Donna Sandercock died at her home on Sunday, May 26, 2013. She was 86.
A graveside service will be held at Cliffside Cemetery on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.
She was born, Donna June Teninty to John and Percy (Shafer) Teninty on September 29, 1926 in Quincy,
Illinois. As a young girl, the family moved to Oregon and made their home in Astoria where she was raised and received her schooling.
On July 27, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Sandercock in Astoria while he was on leave from the U.S. Navy. Donna made her home in the Portland area while her husband finished his military assignment. After his discharge, he joined his family in Portland. In 1945, they moved to Sandy and made their home. For a short time they lived in The Dalles as Bob pursued his career in construction. They returned to Sandy in 1970 and made their permanent home. In 2009, Bob preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter, Gail Parks; her sons, Dan, Derrill and Dennis Sandercock; 4 grandchildren, Tina, Angela, Doris and Doug; 5 great grandchildren, Dillon, Cameron, Brandon, Aaron and Mikaylah.
Donna was a member of Good Shepherd Community Church. She enjoyed sewing, Bible studies, crocheting and family get togethers.
