Doris Peterson entered into the arms of Jesus at the age of 87 and was reunited with her beloved husband Charles on January 15, 2018 at Homewood Heights.
Doris was born in 1930 in Junction City, Kansas to Ralph and Ethel Imler. Her family moved to Denver, Colorado when she was 6 years old. At the age of 16, the family moved to Milwaukie, Oregon where she graduated from high school.
Doris furthered her education at the University of Oregon for two years. While there, she personally received Christ as her Savior and Lord.
Two years later, Doris attended Portland State University, where she met her future husband, Charles (Chuck) Peterson, the love of her life. They were married in 1954 and made their home in Brightwood where they raised their family.
Survivors include, Cheryl Rehley and her husband John, Tamara Cissna, Gary Peterson and wife Jenny and Randy Peterson; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
