Eagle Creek resident, Doris Boyington died at her home on Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was 96.
A funeral service will be held 1pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at The Village Seventh-day Adventist Retirement Center. Burial will follow at Firhill Cemetery in Sandy.
Doris Lucille Luedtke was born June 14, 1916 in Gary, Indiana to Paul and Anna (Hoeg) Luedtke. She was raised in the Gary area. On April 17, 1949, Doris married Clifford Boyington in Madison South Dakota. They moved to Minnesota in 1949. Clifford died on April 1, 1970. In 1983 Doris moved to Oregon to be near her children. She lived in the Powell Vista Manor in Gresham for 22 years. In 2005 she moved to her daughters property in Eagle Creek where she lived until her death.
Her favorite pastime was reading religious books and going for car rides. She was a member of the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include her son, Dale Boyington and his wife Virginia of Vancouver, Washington; daughter, Ruby Fleming and her husband Gene of Eagle Creek, Oregon; brothers, Leslie Luedtke and Charles Luedtke both of Hobert, Indiana; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
