Lifetime Sandy resident, Edna Sealander, died in a Gresham hospital on February 22, 2009. She was 88.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 26, at Sandy Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cliffside Cemetery.
She was born Edna Rose Fischer in Sandy to Ernest and Elizabeth (Sladkey) Fischer on September 29, 1920. She was raised in Sandy where she graduated from high school in 1938. After high school she remained in Sandy and was married. She began her family and was later divorced.
On March 9, 1953 she married Fred Sealander in Vancouver, Washington. They made their permanent home in Sandy. Edna dedicated her time as a homemaker and to raising her children.
She enjoyed spending her time cooking, growing flowers and traveling.
Surviving is her husband, Fred; daughter, Darlene Predmore-White of Sandy; son, Wayne Koch of Sandy; sister, Elsie Ekwall of Sandy; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Sandy Historical Society.
