Eric Christian Delf was born on April 4, 1969 in Portland, Oregon. He was raised in Idaho and later moved to Gresham. He graduated from Gresham High School in 1987. He was nearing completion of college to graduate from Portland State University. Eric married Cherri Kay on Valentines Day, February 14, 1996. He worked as a truck driver for Sygma since 1998.
Eric attended Sandy Baptist Church and was actively involved in his children’s school with a great commitment to family. His hobbies included all types of water sports, motorcycling, camping, playing with his kids, coaching soccer, horseback riding, biking, listening to all kinds of music and he was a gamer which included computers, board and card games. He had recently completed his first 5K run, coming in first place for his age group. He loved the challenges of running and was training to run his first marathon next spring.
Surviving is his wife, Cherri; his daughter, Amanda Morgan; his sons, Nathan and Emory; his granddaughter, Riley Morgan; his parents, Robert Delf and Jacquline Brown; his brothers, Jason Delf and Mike Delf and his grandparents.
At this difficult time, we choose to celebrate Eric’s life. Eric loved his wife, his sons, his family, and life with both passion and devotion. He connected with all who knew him. He loved the warmth of his world and always chose the path of true discovery with a smile and an open and giving heart.
