I love you grandpa you will be missed thank you for everything you've done for all of us on your journey through life rest in peace grandpa buck Nicholas rasmussen
Buck was the most wonderful person i have ever had the privilege of knowing. Our friendship became stronger over many years. I could set my watch . Every Thursday at 11am. Rain, snow ,or shine. Then in the layter years, John would bring Buck up to see me. I hope you know that it meant the world to me that you did that. I loved Buck very much and i will miss him always. All my love to you and your family John. Always know i will be thinking of you all. Dar Mitchell
To honor the passing of my Dad, mentor and hero. For the almost 60 years of time we spent together, I thank him for all he taught me. Love of the outdoors, a work ethic that made me successful, the skills of the construction trade , determination in the face of adversity to press on and enjoy all life has to offer and the value of friendship/family. Through all the good times and bad, he helped me learn life lessons, that I still use today. I owe my "stubborn trait" to my Dad, that is legendary among my family and friends. I will miss him very much, but know that God has called him home because he has a construction project for my Dad to do. Rest in Peace John Wayne Rasmussen
Buck is the father of one my oldest and best friends, John Rasmussen. I had the opportunity to work for Buck from late 1976 thru early 1978 while John was away for military training and got to know him very well. I count the time working for Buck as one of the best investments I've ever made. Although I haven't worked in the construction trade since then, the skills I learned from Buck have served me well through many projects since then. Buck was a good boss and friend. A little cranky at times but ever so patient with a 'wet- behind-the-ears' apprentice carpenter. As is common for construction workers in the Pacific Northwest, there were many times that we got rained out and sought shelter in the local Dunkin Donuts where I picked up the habit drinking hot coffee on a cold day. During those periods, I enjoyed his many stories of growing up in Eatonville, military life, family and interesting construction projects. Rest in Peace Buck Mike Narog
We are so sorry that Buck has passed away. He was always so nice to me and my family. We have many good memories. Particularly the great job he did in remodeling our kitchen. I miss that kitchen and Buck. Our prayers are with John, Linda and girls as well as the rest of Buck's family. Sally Hicks
I remember Buck always fixing things! I will forever picture him with a tool belt close at hand, and with his warm smile. Nancy Routh
Buck leaves me many great memories. Buck lived with his Dad and stepmother while he did the carpentry aprentice training in Tacoma. I was accepted as his "kid brother" and invited to join him on countless neat adventures that he and his buddies would get into. I would help him work on his various cars, and then go for a test drives that usally ended up at Gary Henricksen's home near Eatonville. This was good, because Gary's Mom always had freash cookies for the kids. Later on with my then new wife Christine, and I visited buck at his shopping mall project at Lake Forest Park north of Seattle. It was impressive to see the scope of the project that he was responcible for. We made many trips to Portland for visits and always enjoyed getting together. Buck and I would do a round on a nearby golf course, while the ladies would hit the mall. Christine and I were able to enjoy an outing with Buck at his cabin on the river and watch him drive his "tractor" around. We will charish these many memories, and be thankful that "Buck" is in a better place now. Otto & Christine Otto & Christine Rasmuusen
