Brightwood resident Frank Martin Ellis died October 6, 2015. He was 62 years old.
Frank was born September 9, 1953 in Cherry Point, North Carolina to Virginia L. (Brittain) and Eugene R. Ellis. He was raised in Marine Corps towns including Quantico, VA; Oceanside, CA; and then Portland, OR.
After graduating from Vista High School in California, Frank enlisted in the Army.
He lived in Portland after his discharge and worked as a pile driver on the construction of the I-205 Bridge. The remainder of his work career was spent as a carpenter building new construction.
Frank lived in the Portland/Vancouver area as well as over twenty years in Las Vegas, Nevada. He retired in Brightwood where he helped to build the cabin that was his home. It brought him great satisfaction to build and fix things.
He is survived by his sons, Tyler Leben of Brighwood and Chris Leben of San Diego, CA; sisters, Cathy Sakry of San Diego, CA and Eileen Ellis of Gresham,OR; many cousins and in-laws.
