Gary E. Dempsey was born in Livingston, Montana on December 31,1941. This is where his family became well known citizens of the community after his Grand Father opened the Bucket of Blood Bar and was God Father to 134 children.
Gary moved to Gresham when he was 7 years old. He got a newspaper job because of his love of bicycles, which we know turned into a love of motorcycles. He was so proud to earn his 10 dollars a month. Gary's love of riding motorcycles led to him owning Gresham Suzuki .
Gary joined the Navy to serve his country. Later he became a gold and silver miner in Alaska for a few years which turned in to the Viking Unlimited Silver and Gold business. He also started Fred's Auto parts store.
Gary used his first corvette as a down payment on a piece of beautiful property on the Sandy River. Even though the house on the property was a bit of a shack he had big hopes and knew he was going to turn this nothing into something. This led him to build multiple homes, including a log home on the property of his storage business and an amazing home next to where the "shack" of a home rested.
He loved his music and loved it loud! He loved to teach anyone that wanted to learn. Everything for Gary had a story.
He found out he had cancer 10 years ago but did not tell many. Then halfway through he got more cancer news. Through his research and diet, with Judy (his loving partner of 39 years) by his side, he went to be with the Lord on January 6th, 2023.
All is welcome to Gary's Celebration of Life. At Good Shephard Community Church 28986 Haley Rd. Boring, Or. 97009. 11 am to 1pm on April 29th, 2023.
