In Loving Memory Of

Gary Ernest Grubb

February 25th, 1946 - September 24th, 2023

Obituary

Gary Ernest Grubb, 77, of Battle Ground, Washington, passed away on September 24th, after a long battle with Parkinson’s.

Gary grew up in Tacoma, Washington, where he attended Wilson High School.  He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was assigned to the 6th Army at Fort Ord, California.  Gary worked in several fields throughout his adult life, from managing and owning a small business, to serving as a long- haul truck dispatcher for many years.

Gary’s passions were his Faith, his family, and spending time in the great outdoors.  His genuine love and concern for everyone around him brought joy to all those who knew him.  He made all of us laugh with his sense of humor and ability to always remain positive, no matter what life threw at him.

Gary is survived by his loving wife Tamra, his sister Linda, his three children, Cindy, Gary, and Denise, his 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Kewpie.

A private burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery.

Linda, sorry to learn of Gary's passing. Connie Wonder Sprague Connie Wonder Sprague
Oh Grandpa Grubb. How I have missed you. I so badly wanted to see you again and say all these things to you. You made a huge impact on my life. I have thought about you regularly the last 20ish years. I even tried to find you, but I didn’t really know where to look. I know you tried to stay in touch for a while. Even though the last time I saw you was when I was in middle school, my now middle schooler knows about you! I’ve got three kids and of course I had to tell them about you the first time I introduced them to steamers and Italian sodas! Oh and not to mention explaining my obsession with chocolate covered gummy bears! Thank you for loving me. Thank you for being a loving home I got to visit when I was a kid. Okay, grandpa, I’ll stop feeling sorry for myself that I don’t get to see you again… I know you’re up there with Jesus with no illness, sadness, and all joy! Alexis Burger
