Obituary

Gerald (Jerry) Hugh Grieve

June 8, 1941 – December 2, 2019

Jerry was a long time resident of Boring and was known as the Lawnmower Man.

He leaves behind his best friend of over 50 years, Sandra Praegitzer. Children, Cindy Smith, Rodney Grieve, Cheryl Gilmore, along with Jim Praegitzer and Julie Praegitzer. There were many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jerry Loved visiting with everyone and his greatest times were riding the tractors around the back yard with the little ones. His trips to the casino and helping others brought joy to his life. Jerry had unlimited time for anyone who came to him for advice or just to lend an ear.

If you were to ask Jerry how he was, he would reply, “I am the best there is”.

Jerry, you will be greatly missed by all!

My Dad worked hard and played hard all his life. He would get up at 4am, go to work, come home and nap while he watched the news, get up and work on something else. He could fix almost any motor there was and build a house from the ground up. He taught me to be tougher than I am and resilient. He was always bigger than life for me. I knew I was lucky, and I told him so. I had a great Dad. "Life is what you make it" he often told me. He was there for everyone. To Sandy, my siblings and all the family, My greatest sympathy and sadness. Cindy Cindy L Smith
Sorry to hear about Jerry’s passing. He was a great guy and could fix anythiing! Bob Baker
