Jerry passed away very peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Jerry was born in Vancouver Washington to James Ralph Goff & Mary Elizabeth Hull. He was the youngest of 4 children, Lucille Erickson, Kathy Manos & Jim Goff
After graduating from Benson High School in 1967 he married Cherlynn Pankratz. They had 2 children Shawn Goff & Jerry Goff Jr.
Shortly after his children were born Jerry enlisted into the ARMY & spent his tour in Bitberg Germany as a SP4 chaparral missile launcher. After returning from the ARMY In 1974 Jerry started his own business "Goff's Backhoe". He & his father worked as an excavating team out of Sandy Oregon for several years.
In 1975 he married Nancy Dressler, they had 1 child, Reese Goff. In 83 he met his future wife Robynn Wasco, they were married in 1993. During these years Jerry went to work for "Lilly Miller" Seed in Portland Oregon. He worked there until 1996 when he became disabled.
Jerry was a very seasoned Big Game Hunter & loved fishing the rivers & crabbing at the coast. Above all his biggest passion was spending time with his family & friends. It was later in life when he found a talent for leather working, painting & wood burning. During the last few years he started playing the guitar again.
Jerry made Sandy Oregon his home from 1974 until his passing.
He cherished his time & the peacefulness at home especially spending time sitting outside being surrounded by his trees & feeding the birds, working jigsaw puzzles with his wife Robynn or making jerky, pepperoni & sausage for the family & grandkids.
Preceding him in death are his parents James & Mary Goff, his son Jerry Goff Jr, and nephews: Timothy Young, Robert Mills & Jeffery Goff.
Jerry leaves behind his wife Robynn, sons Shawn & Reese, daughter in-law Lisa Goff & countless grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.
There will be a "Celebration of Life" for all who would like to remember Jerry, (he ALWAYS loved a good party). It will be held at his brothers, Jim Goff's on Saturday September 14th at 12:00on located at 43093 S.E. Keisecker Rd. Sandy, Oregon
Jerry will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery. Date still to be determined.
