Obituary

Geraldine passed away peacefully at home with her family beside her on September 1, 2013. She was born to Lester and Nira (Keller) Shafer on August 14, 1953.

She lived all her life in the Sandy area where she went to school, married, and raised her family. She had an infectious personality and loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Her parents and one grandchild preceded her in death.
Her husband Norman Sr. survives her along with her children, Jimmy Jr.; Norman Jr. (Pam); Cheryl (Bill); Richie (Margaret); John; and Danny; step mother, Nancy; brother, Lester; sisters, Lana; Sandra; and Laura; 20 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; and her beloved dog, Sadie Marie (Missy girl).

There will be a private service for family and close friends on September 13, 2013 at Cliffside Cemetery at 10:00 AM. A Celebration of Life (potluck) at the home of Norman Terrill Sr. will follow this at 2:00 PM

Tribute Wall

To the Terrill Family,
I am truly sorry for the loss of your dear loved one, Geraldine. My purpose in writing is found at 1Corinthians1:3,4; “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.” I personally experienced the psalmist’s words at Psalms 34:18; “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” I also look forward to the time when God promises that “death will be no more” (Revelation 21:4). I hope this scriptural thought will bring you some comfort.

Geri will always be special to myself and my daughter. She gave me emotional support when I really needed it. We will miss her a lot. We will pray for all. Brenda Wilson
OH mom, you are/were so loved. Your service was said to be beautiful. I only hope that it was all you wanted it to be. I did my best. I knew this day would come but I never expected it to be so hard. I wait for the phone to ring to hear you on the other end, I long to pick up the phone and call you every day. I hear you in my head and I look for you, but your not here. I know you are at peace, yes that gives me comfort but it does not take the hurt of missing you so bad. Some days I just want to join you but I know my time here is not done. I will see you again and it cant come soon enough. I love you so much.~Sis Cheryl Wilson
