Obituary

Geraldine Joan (Richardson) Crane, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5th, 2017 with loving family by her side.

Jeri was born December 1st, 1936 in Los Banos, California to Robert Ray Minyard and Winnie V Ritchey. In 1936, Jeri’s family moved to Oregon and settled in the Sandy area. She attended Kelso, Cottrell, Sandy Grade School and Sandy High School. During her sophomore year of school, she met Robert (Bob) Richardson whom she married on February 27th, 1953. Together they raised six children.

In 1987, Bob became ill and in 1989 lost his battle with cancer. The next nine years Jeri focused on the raising of their youngest son Mitchell. Together they kept busy with many church activities and Jeri volunteered, when needed, at Mitchell’s school. In 1998, she renewed an acquaintance with Dr. Boyd Crane. They were married in April 2nd, 1998. They spent several years living in Joseph, Oregon, then eventually moved back to Sandy. Boyd became ill with renal cancer and passed away February 1st, 2014.

Jeri was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A very spiritual woman whose unwavering faith sustained her through all of life’s earthly challenges.

She is survived by sons Michael Richardson and Rick Richardson (Linda), both of Sandy, Perry Richardson (Robin) and Mitchell Richardson (Carly) of Estacada, daughters Dana Moore of Portland, and Tracee Hendricks (Dave) of Oregon City, 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Special thanks to Legacy Hospice Services, P.O. box 3426 Portland, Oregon 97208. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to please consider a donation in Jeri’s honor to this organization.

Lovely, kind youngest sister to my mother, Aunt Jeri was always quick with a smile, her endearing laugh and quick wit. I thought she was amazing in her perseverance and accomplishments, none the least of which was raising and nurturing her family. This loving woman was definitely Granny's daughter and Lillie's sister. She will be warmly remembered. Peace. Leslie Leslie (Barlow) Suva
