First and foremost, Glenn was a devout Christian. He was a member and served the Church of Christ for 52 years; he was baptized a week after his wife Arlene.
Glenn was born to Harold and Olive Morley in Arthur, Nebraska on August 21, 1931. He left for paradise on June 19, 2016 at Mt. Hood Medical Center in Gresham. He graduated high school in 1949, from Hay Springs, Nebraska. He worked in the family business for several years, before enlisting in the Army Air Force. Glenn was honorably discharged in 1953 after four years of service as an aircraft engine and propeller mechanic. He received medals for Korean and United Nations Service, among others. Glenn started working at the age of 12, as an egg candler; he was rarely without a job until he retired, at the age of 72. After his military service, he moved to Oregon, where he began his career as a professional land surveyor - a career that lasted 54 years.
While residing in Oregon, Glenn met and married Arlene in 1958; they were together 57+ years. Glenn's career took him to California, where he worked 7 years as a highway surveyor for the state. While residing in California they adopted two children - Teresa and Scott. A few years later, the family returned to Oregon.
Glenn continued his surveying career, joining the firm of Marx & Chase. Some highlights of his surveying career: Cougar Dam, Blue River, OR; Libby Dam, Libby, MT; Bonneville Dam (second power house); Trimet Lightrail, Portland, OR; Vancouver Mall, Vancouver WA; Rose Quarter (home of the Blazers), Portland; Portland Airport. After working for Marx & Chase, he worked for Westlake Consultants Inc. Where he became the head of the survey crew.
Since retirement, his focus became serving his community as a volunteer. Highlights of his volunteer service: Meals on Wheels, Sandy Senior Center (until his last days), Sandy Mountain Festival, and visiting those in need. His primary focus was honoring and cherishing his wife Arlene.
Glenn was preceded in death by son Scott and survived by his wife Arlene and daughter Teresa, three grandsons, two great granddaughters, sisters Lila and Lynne (brother-in-law Pete), sister-in-law Lory (husband Richard), one niece and four nephews.
