Lifetime Sandy resident, Grace Reich died at Avamere at Cascadia Village on February 27, 2019. She just celebrated her 100th birthday.
Grace Lucile Wewer was born on January 10, 1919, in Sandy to Henry and Anna (Fischer) Wewer. She received her education at Sandy Grade School and graduated from Sandy High School.
On March 9, 1940, Grace was united in marriage to Emil Reich. They made their home in Sandy where they raised their family and Grace was a homemaker. For a short period of time, Grace worked at Janzen Woolen Mill in Portland.
Grace was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She was a longtime volunteer at the Sandy Historical Society and Sandy Cemetery Association.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Reich of Oregon City, her son, Gary Reich of Tucson, Arizona; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Emil and daughter Deborah.
