Sandy resident, Howard John Fuka Jr. died at his home on January 1, 2019. He was 67. Howard was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 4, 1951 to Peggy Bradley Fuka and Howard John Fuka Sr. He was raised in Edemere, Maryland and graduated from Sparrows Point High School in 1969.
Howard served his country as a Boiler Technician in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He worked at Northern California Presbyterian Home as well as at Timberline Lodge. Throughout his career in the Navy, Howard traveled around the world until he retired in Sandy. Howard married the love of his life, Gabriella, in Baltimore, Maryland on August 17, 1974.
Howard is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gabriella Fuka of Sandy, daughter Gabriella Wicker (Jesse) of Sandy, Christopher Fuka (Michele) of Beaverton, grandchildren Heather, Rachel, Lily, Josh, and Justin.
