Isabella “Issie” Catherine Keith, 94, passed away December 10, 2016. Isabella was born November 7, 1922 to George P. and Veronica Heffner in Topeka, Kansas then moved west to Centralia, Washington and then on to Portland, Oregon.
Issie married Charles “Chuck” Keith May 15, 1950 in Portland, Oregon where they were married for 48 years until Chuck passed away on July 11, 1998.
Issie worked as a 'Switchboard Operator' for the telephone company after graduating high school in Portland. She married Chuck, and worked many years as a 'Berry Boss' overseeing bus loads of children. She also was an 'Avon Lady' for the women in the neighborhood. She ran the office for the long-time family business, Space Saver Breakfast Nooks. She was always working throughout each day as a busy, energetic mother and wife. Isabella had much love for her children, being the favorite “Aunt Issie”, and played an important part in her grandchildren’s lives. Isabella also enjoyed homemaking, sewing, cooking, baking and loved her flowers around her home and growing fruits and vegetables. Issie was active with the Catholic Church.
Isabella is survived by sons Tracy Keith of Estacada, Ken Keith of Gresham and Daughter Sandra Crossley of North Plains. Four grandsons Will, Dylan, and Luke Robinson, Kyle Keith and one Great Grandson Keegan Robinson.
Private services will be held at Willamette National Cemetery.
