Damascus resident, Jack Krening, died in a Clackamas hospital on February 19, 2009. He was 65.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, February 25, at Sandy Funeral Home.
Jack Elmer Krening was born to Jacob and Lillian (Priggie) Krening in Portland, Oregon on December 20, 1943. He grew up in Portland where he received his education. In his younger years, he enjoyed dirt biking with his 4 brothers.
On February 28, 1968, Jack married Diane Houseman in Portland. They lived in Portland where they began their family. In 1988, they moved to Damascus to make their permanent home.
Throughout Jack’s working career, he was employed at Hyster, Michaels of Portland, Wescott’s Auto Body and Warn Industries in Clackamas.
Jack enjoyed hot rods, airplanes, going to car shows and spending time with his family and grandkids.
Surviving is his wife, Diane; son, Mike Krening of Sandy; daughter, Julie Nordman of Parachute, Colorado; brothers, Larry Krening of Portland, Don Krening of Happy Valley and William Krening of Grass Valley, California; and 6 grandchildren.
