Troutdale resident, James “Bob” Anderson died on August 11, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at Sandy Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 3:00pm. Private placement of his ashes will be at Willamette National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
James Robert Anderson was born in Denver, Colorado on July 30, 1940. He was raised in Troutdale and graduated from Gresham High School in 1960. After high school, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an airdale. Upon the end of his Navy career, he went to work for Libby McNeill Libby, then National Can as a mechanic and supervisor until retiring in 1998.
On January 31, 1964 Bob married Marylou Caddy in Pleasant Home, Oregon. They lived in the east county area for 10 years, then moved back to the country where they built the family home in East Gresham where they resided for 41 years.
Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening, rock hounding, oil painting, camping and spending time with his grandchildren was his #1 priority.
Survivors include; wife Marylou of Troutdale; daughters, Tami Barraclough (Jim) and Deanna Steele (Shawn); grandchildren, Jamee Flack, Andrew Norris, Brett Barraclough and Nick Barraclough; siblings, Pat Collins, C.T. Anderson, Bud Sullivan and Macelle Ruedi.
