In Loving Memory Of

James "Jim" Albert Bowman

November 4th, 1957 - October 11th, 2018

Obituary

Born to Jane (Happ) and Martin J. Bowman, Jr. Jim grew up in Millville, PA. A 1975 graduate of Millville High School, he earned an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Harrisburg Area Community College.

Jim’s 1978 visit to Oregon was a one-way trip. He never looked back and spent the rest of his life here, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, and gardening. After marrying the love of his life, Tammy Bangs, on December 7, 2002, they resided in Eagle Creek and enjoyed the great outdoors together. Jim retired from Oliver Packaging & Equipment CO., where he served as Western Regional Manager.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Judy Zeisloft. He is survived by his wife, Tammy; siblings, Carol (Bill) Kauffman and Martin J., III (Deborah); and many loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved pets Max, Dooders, Johnny, Little Girl, Snickers Jr. and June Bug. He died at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He will be laid to rest in Millville Cemetery, Millville, PA. His family suggests contributions be made to National Brain Tumor Society, www.braintumor.org.

Had the pleasure of meeting Jim while at Haac and wondered how he was doing. He was a great friend and had many good times in Harrisburg while at Mabel’s and went to his Millville home to meet his friends there. Good guy and I was sad to know that he passed. I remember him talking about Oregon and he offered me the chance to go but I wasn’t sure if he was serious. God Bless you Jim! Scott Pierce
Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
Tammy. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know I only met Jim a couple of times but I was aware of his recent illness. My thoughts & prayers are with you-as I know what an emptiness this will be for you. Stay strong & always remember the good times you shared. I will be thinking of you & your family. Sincerely. Carol Alexander Carol Alexander
