James T. Brown was born on February 16, 1927 in La Fleur, Oklahoma. He passed away at his home in Sandy on Thursday, January 26, 2012 just two weeks away from his 85th birthday.
Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1949 until his honorable discharge in 1951. He returned to Antioch, California where he was united in marriage to Adeen Hulsey. They made their home in Oakley, California where he was employed at U.S. Steel as a welder for 40 years.
He enjoyed fishing and Church activities. After retirement, Jim and Adeen moved to Southern California where they loved the sunshine and Jim was a champion horseshoe pitcher. Jim and Adeen recently moved to Oregon, making their home in Sandy to be near their daughters.
Jim leaves behind his wife Adeen of 50 years; his daughters and son in laws, Eudene and Dale Hult of Sandy, Kim Brow and Michelle and Aaron Meggy of Sandy; his brother, Larry Brown of Missouri; his sister, Guida Lawery of Grove, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Emanuel.
We will greatly miss our husband, dad, grandpa and brother.
A Celebration of his life was held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his daughter and son in laws, Dale and Dena Hult.
