Sandy resident James J. Wolf died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday November 30. He was 84.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church in Sandy with viewing starting one hour prior to the service.
Jim was born in 1929 on the family property in Dover, Oregon to Marie Isabel (Gray) and James Henry Wolf. He worked in his beloved Oregon woods from an early age, logging and driving heavy equipment.
Jim married Patricia Ann O’Malley on Jan. 24, 1967. Jim and Pat ran Crooked Row Tree Farm on Pagh Road for many years until Pat’s death in 1994. Over the years, Jim was an active volunteer and leader in the Sandy Optimist Club, St. Michael Catholic Church, the Small Woodlands Association, Meals on Wheels, and St. Vincent de Paul.
He is survived by his niece Kathy Iberle of Vancouver, Washington, his foster son Steve Palmer of Thousand Palms, California, and many cousins in the Sandy area.
