Sandy resident Jeaneen Ruth Marie Kiltz passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday June 23, 2011 of lymphoma. She was 77.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Sandy.
Jeaneen was born Nov. 25, 1933, in Long Pine, Neb, to Heber Lee and Louise A. (Cushing) Bond. The family moved to Portland in 1945. She lived in NE Portland’s Montville area from 1945 until 2004 at which time she moved to Sandy.
Jeaneen, graduated from Washington High School in 1951. She married Warren Gerald Sr. Kiltz in 1954, and they started their family. They were married from 1954 until 1979 when they divorced.
Jeaneen worked for various companies in the Portland area throughout her career as a secretary beginning in 1981 including; Multnomah County Court House Tax Dept., OHSU, Bessie Electric, Moyer Theater, Portland Vacuum & Appliance, and Multnomah Educational District in the personal Dept. She retired in 1996. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Parish from 1945-1998, Immaculate Heart Parish 1998 -2004, and St. Michael 2004 – 2011. She served as volunteer secretary for the parishes. She loved raising flowers and her beautiful gardens were well known to neighbors and a great passion of hers. She truly loved being with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Survivors include her children, Anna D Regan of Sandy, Harlan E. Kiltz of Grants Pass, Neta L. Kiltz of Clackamas, Richard D. Kiltz of Gresham and Karlein K. Kiltz of Sandy; sister, Neta L Olson of Ovid, Colorado; brother, Richard D. Bond of Gresham and three grandchildren. Jeaneen is preceded in death by her oldest son Warren Gerald Jr. Kiltz who died at the age of 18, in 1973.
