Jennie B. Milnichuk, 90, died in Estacada at Grace House Friday January 4, 2013.
No services will be held. Private inurnment will take place in Pennsylvania at a later date.
She was born January 21, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA to Russian and Polish immigrants Frank and Mary (Petrosasky) Barachofsky. She was raised in the Philly area and graduated from South Philadelphia High School.
Jennie married her beloved husband John Adam Milnichuk in 1942 in Philadelphia where they made their home. She began working at the U. S. Navy Aviation Supply in Philadelphia during WWII and remained there until her retirement in 1988. She moved to the Boring/ Sandy area in 1995 to be near her son John.
Jennie enjoyed walking in the park and listening to music. She was also an animal lover who cherished her cats. Jennie believed in helping those less fortunate and so was active in community service volunteering at the Sandy Action Center for several years before her health began to decline.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Pascha (Schneider) Milnichuk of Boring; grandchildren, John, Richard and Jennie all of GA; as well as her great grandchildren, Chelsea, Avery, Alexandria, Richard, Mattie and Nicholas all living near Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 1974.
