Former Boring resident, Jesse Ash Sr. died of heart failure on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the age of 47.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at noon at the Lighthouse Community Church in Gresham.
Jesse Alan Ash Sr. was born on September 15, 1964 in Harbor City, California to John and Maryjane (Gilbert) Ash. As a young boy, the family moved to Washington where he began his elementary education. The family later moved to Boring where he finished his schooling.
Jesse was an automotive mechanic and was employed at wrecking yards and later at Don’s Machine Shop for many years.
On August 3, 1991, Jesse was married to Lisa Angus at Lighthouse Community Church in Gresham. For the last 3 years, Lisa and Jesse have resided in Troutdale.
Jesse enjoyed working in his garage doing car repairs, working on his sand rail and restoring a 1950 Ford for his father. Jesse was a past member of The Associate Ford of the 50’s Car Club with his 59 Ford Truck. He also enjoyed spending time at Sand Lake with his sand rail. Jesse was a very devoted father and husband.
Surviving is his wife Lisa of Troutdale; his sons, Jesse Ash Jr. and Russell Ash both of Troutdale; his daughter, KC Ash of Troutdale; his parents, John and Mary Ash of Gresham; his brothers, Charles Orth of Ohio and Johnny Ash of Gresham; his sisters, Victoria Angus of Damascus and Kathy Ash of Gresham; nieces and nephews and 1 great niece. In lieu of contributions, the family requests that love and prayers be lifted for Jesse’s family.
